Like many other Singapore couples, Justin and I spend most of our Saturdays settling in a nice café, filling our tummies with scrumptious food and not forgetting our favourite pastime; watching movies. Just last Saturday, I decided to pay I Light Marina Bay Festival a visit. So we ended at having Korean BBQ at Marina Square, caught the movie ‘Need for Speed’ which by the way was a pretty impressive film about illegal racing featuring many jaw-dropping practical stunt scenes.
By the time we left the movie theater, the sun was almost setting down. Thank goodness, the windy weather made the stroll over to Marina Bay an enjoyable one. I’ve always love the scenery there, so much so that I took too many panoramic shots.
In conjunction with the I light Festival; PasaBella set up a food market outside of Marina Bay Sands. Instead of traveling all the way to Bukit Timah, we can now taste all sorts of cuisine, purchase worldwide produce in town! Coincidentally, it was The Rolling Stone’s gig in Singapore that day, as well as Marina Bay Sands Rock Singapore music festive; which was open to the public, located at identical location as the food market. And because all these events fell on the same day, the crowd gathered there was massive.
The Pool by Jen Lewin Studio got to be everyone’s favourite pit stop. From far I can already spot that gigantic pool of colourful concentric circles created from interactive circular pads, making it look like a huge dance floor. Although this pit stop has the most crowd, people of all ages and races were truly having the time of their lives. I felt wonderful submerging into the merry atmosphere. This festive will last all the way to 30 March 2014, that leaves you one last week (technically) to visit the festival before it ends!
