I have never carry any permanent permed or curled hairstyle in my life, I believe maintaining them can get quite a handful. But girls being girls, we dress to occasions and I'm not an exception. Once in a while, I'll pick up the curling iron to create simple c-curls or small waves if I'm attending a special date or event. I'm no expert at using it, so you probably can imagine my agony when it slips out of my hand and resulted in a few painful burns and weirdly crimped locks.
When Dyson first introduced their revolutionary Airwarp in 2018, the blogosphere was filled with tutorial videos of influencers demonstrating how the product uses the air technology to suck bunches of hair into the barrel, creating curls within seconds. I was sold by this advance technology and the ease of use! But the rational me thought it wasn't wallet-friendly and so, I chucked it on my wish list and forgot about it. 1 year later, Matt surprised me with not just one Airwrap but the entire complete set on my birthday. I was grinning from ear to ear, it was definitely the best birthday present ever!
The Dyson Airwrap complete set comes with the handheld Airwrap device, a pre-styling dryer, two sets of curling barrels (30mm and 40mm) and three different brushes (firm, soft & round), all neatly placed in a tan storage case made out of PU material. The first peek into the storage box got the OCD in me screaming in happiness because the case was thoughtfully segmented so that each of the items has got their individual compartment.
Compared to the normal curling iron, the Dyson Airwrap is obviously more time saving since I don't have to wait for the barrel to heat up before use. In fact, I don't even need to dry my hair before curling it; it automatically attracts and wrap my hair around the barrel, and the hot air from within dries and heats up my hair into a curl at the same time. Definitely an innovation worth applauding for.
I frequently use the 40mm curling barrel to create big, loose curls that frame my face perfectly. My hair length is currently slightly over the shoulder, and it only takes me a maximum of 30-35 minutes to complete the curls on both sides. Some days, when I wake up with really crazy morning hair, I just curl them up and, voilĂ , I’m ready to head out for work.
They say, at the end of the day, confidence is the best hairstyle. I am not one to disagree, but I do believe that a perfect hairstyle will make a great confidence booster, and the Dyson Airwrap complete set is exactly the tools we need to achieve that. It has been 3 months since I received this, yet it still gets me all thrilled every time I open the case. For drying of hair, my go-to attachment got to be the firm smoothing brush. Although there’s a pre-styling dryer, I prefer to use the firm smoothing brush instead, as it kind of aids in reducing frizziness and smoothen out my hair while drying.
And surprisingly, you can actually personalize your case. The case definitely felt more special with my initials embossed onto it.
Will I ever, be able to live without my Dyson Airwrap complete set? I highly doubt it, it's a part of my lifestyle now.
