HOTA
May 21, 2010Just like any other Singaporean who turns 21 this year, I’ve finally received from MOH the letter regarding Human Organ Transplant Act (HOTA).
After my death, HOTA allows my kidneys, liver, heart and corneas to be used for transplantation purposes. Of course, I’m free to object to this decision. I was in a dilemma whether or not I should reject, so I went around asking opinion from sissy & Justinlove.
Justinlove told me that Singapore was a small country and we had limited population, it would be better if we could just donate our organs away and assist someone who might need it. Seriously, can he be any cuter? :)
Opinion after opinion, I came to the conclusion to go with the flow. Because it must have felt really horrible if someone in need of help, couldn’t find a donor. Furthermore, I believe this would like blood donating.
It makes me feel like a better person :)
Surprisingly, this year they gift us Ez-link cards!
Awesome much?
