After the April babies celebration (previous post), met up with J and we went to Marina Barrage!

Main objective was to try out the Gallery Cafe there. Turns out, the ambience was not to our likings so we went down to Raffles City for Skinny Pizza.

The Elegant Black Pepper Prawn Linguine ($25)

The linguine was nicely cooked, something I looked out for in a pasta dish. Cooked pastas. When served, you can smell the black pepper sauce clearly, but it didn't taste that spicy at all. The prawn was cooked but not as fresh I would say. You can spot tiny bits of crabmeat within the dish as well. And yes, along with the prawn was salmon caviar toppings. I would prefer it better, if the pasta was cooked longer, so the black pepper sauce can be absorbed within.

Old-Fashioned American Sliders ($23)

J ordered this dish and I took a bite out of the burger and this is what I (we) think. J ordered for the beef to be medium cooked. For that, we agree they deserved a pat on the shoulder. The texture and taste of the beef was fantastic. Not many can cooked a beef in its medium state this well. It literally melts in your mouth after the 1st chew, with the juice oozing out with it. That feeling is just great (: Along with it are fries and fried sweet potato coated with sugars.

Verdict: We prefer the burgers to the pasta.

J bought me Toeot flip flops from Gmarket. He says that this foldable pair of flip flops is really convenience whenever we go to the beach or out for a swim. This guy is adorable :)) He's in a shade of grey and lime green! Nice! Being really superstitious people, I handed him 20cents in exchange. Haha!

Byes.
