Decked in the cozy corner of Katong Square lies a group of hair professionals – J&J Hair Identity; founded by Jasmine and Jac. All thanks to Sample Store, I was able to get my tresses trimmed, dyed and celebrate the end of 2016 with a brand new look!

At J&J Hair Identity, they only use hair dyes and products from Denmark's organic hair brand – Natulique. Natulique shares and complies to the Ecocert vision, demanding the purest, certified organic ingredients and safest products in the professional hair care industry.

Ecocert standards demand that a minimum of 98.8% of the total ingredients have a natural origin and that a minimum of 10.3% of all the ingredients by eight must come from organic farming. Globally, Natulique and Ecocert are unique in striving to obtain these high standards and strict demands.

Got my hair wash with Natulique's certified organic Everyday Hairwash and Moisture Conditioner. Both products gave off a mild floral, sweet scent that I really adore.

My friendly, Korean looking hairstylist of the day – Shine suggest perming which I agreed right away because I've always wanted to perming! Alkaline perming are also known as "Cold Waves" they do not require extra heat source to process. We did the perming before proceeding with the colouring.

I have been wearing contact lenses since the age of 16. I started out with daily lenses before moving on to cosmetic lenses with wider outer rim which get slightly uncomfortable if worn for too long. Before getting my hand on the Acuvue Oasys 1-Day lenses, I headed down to Nanyang Optical (Junction 8) for an eye check. My eye care professional for the day - You Jing was really friendly and gentle! I went through a comprehensive eye health assessment, including measurement of my vision degree, lessons of accurate way to fit and remove lenses and checking of the eye for UV damages. Fortunately, my degree did not deteriorate too much. However, my astigmatism increased. It was no surprise as the cosmetic lenses that I wore do not rectify the issue.

Detailed explanation about my eye health status and the type of lenses that are more suitable for me were all well conveyed by You Jing. I was given samples from other 1-day Acuvue ranges to try on as well. The Acuvue Oasys 1-Day lenses provide more comfort in comparison to the usual cosmetic lenses I wore. Despite my designing job requiring me to stare at the computer for long hours looking at tiny details, my eyes still feel comfortable.

I was recently invited by Derma Dynamics to experience their Superfood Cell Glow Facial Therapy which gave me really good insight about my skin condition, how I should be taking care of my skin etc. But ultimately, the visible result of the therapy was what amazed me.

And maybe, just maybe, that is why nightfall always appear to be much more beautiful. I watched the sky grew darker, painted blue on blue. One stroke at a time, into deeper and deeper shades of blue. When it turned into nothing more than a canvas of darkness, it brought up the wildness in my heart.
