If you happen to drop by Vivo City lately, you probably spotted a lot of foreigners dressed up in sailor suites doing shopping within the mall. No, it's not cosplay. Originally, I was amazed as well, until I saw this...

Let me present to you -The Pallada, one of the world’s fastest tall ships berths

With twenty-six sails and masts soaring 162 feet above the deck, this tall ship has made over eighty voyages covering more than 200,000 miles of the world’s oceans, to the admiration of the world’s sailors. The Pallada has been the winner of the annual Tall Ship Regatta in Japan for the last 10 years, and is in the Guinness Book of Records for the highest speed recorded by a tall ship. The Pallada was built according to the main characteristics of the sailing ships at the beginning of the 20th century. Twenty-six sails of the frigate are operated manually. Two engines are used only during a storm or while entering or leaving a port.

This gigantic ship will be located at VivoCity from 1 – 5 Mar 2012 at The Promenade, Level 1. The Pallada welcomes all visitors to go on board for a free guided tour to experience the grandeur of this Russian ship.

Guided Tour
2 March 2012, 11am – 6pm
3 March 2012, 3.30pm – 7.30pm

Greeted by Russian sailor boys. Personally, I find them adorable!

There's really rich history about the ship, though it's quite difficult to make out the English spoke by these Russian students, they were really polite and held high level of patience waiting for us to take photos before moving on to the next station. You should really come down and experience it yourself :)

Hong with his big toy. *envy*

It was pouring heavily, so we decided to eat HOT POT for dinner! Dined at 'Bei Shan Chuan Spicy Steamboat Restaurant'. Let's just say, the service attitude is fantastic, but the variety of food does not match the value and I believe there are better hot pot restaurants out there.

My baby love.

Fireworks, the best way to end a day :)
